Typical dishes in a Thali would include rice, dal, vegetables, roti,  papads, curds, pickles and chutneys.  In Thali starters, mains and desserts  are all served together rather than the three course meal served in restaurants.Thali is usually eaten during the lunch time or during the special wedding occasions.
