Add Spicy Ginger to make Healthy Snack
Have you tried adding ginger to your healthy snacks to give you that slow energy release?
I recently went to the Food and Drink Trade show at Three Counties Showground in Malvern Worcestershire. I met various traders exhibiting their unique products. I was impressed with the Go Nutz www.go-nutz.co.uk who produce gluten free healthy energy snack balls. Ginger commonly helps to treat various types of “stomach problems” has the health benefit of relieving stomach upset, gas, irritable bowel syndrome, nausea, motion sickness and loss of appetite. Ginger can be eaten fresh or dried powder, but I always prefer it fresh as most of the fragrance flavour comes from its most active compound Gingerol.
Ginger is often used as a seasoning in many Asian recipes and is common ingredients in Indian, Chines or Thai cuisine. One of the favourite recipe with my students is this healthy, gluten free, sugar free Date Rolls which are made out of nuts, coconut and dates. These Date Rolls are high in protein iron and vitamin.
